My client can't see an invoice I raised.
Two things stop an invoice reaching a client, and both are quick. First, a Draft is never published — it is your working figure. Press Send invoice, or Mark sent on one already raised. Second, the client portal is a published copy rather than a live feed, so open the Portal tab and press Update portal. The Portal tab tells you when it has fallen behind.
I changed a figure and my client is still seeing the old one.
The portal publishes a snapshot when you press Update, and shows that until you publish again. This is deliberate — your client should see the figures you chose to send, not a budget you are halfway through editing. The Portal tab shows a notice naming exactly what has changed since you last published.
Can my client see what the job costs me?
No. Never, in any mode. Unit costs, markup, your expenses and your margin are stripped out before anything reaches a client — there are automated tests whose only job is to prove no cost field survives publishing. You choose separately, in Client Documents, whether they see actual costs on allowance lines or on every line. The default is neither.
What happens when my 30-day trial ends?
Editing stops. Nothing else does. Every job stays open to read, print and export, for as long as you want it. Your work is never held hostage to a subscription — pick a plan and editing comes straight back.
Can my client approve a change order themselves?
Yes. On their portal a change order shows Review & approve; they type their full name to sign. The date, the name and the exact amount they agreed to are recorded against it, and the contract total updates. You can still hold one back afterwards — their signature stays on record either way.
How do I get paid through an invoice?
Press Make a payment link on the invoice. That creates a card payment link for that exact amount and puts a Pay button on your client's copy. The invoice states the 3% card processing fee up front and the button charges the total including it, so nothing appears at the card page that was not on the paper.
Can I add my crew?
On the Crew plan — three people included, more at $9.99 each a month. Go to Team, create an invite link and send it however you like. Everyone sees the same jobs, budgets and expenses; only the owner can change company details and billing.
Why is my projected profit not changing as I spend?
It should. Log costs on the Expenses tab and the Summary updates: cost to date, what is still to spend, projected final cost, and the profit left in the job. If it is not moving, check the expenses are actually saved against this job — and tell us, because that used to be a bug and we would want to know if it came back.
Can I share the plans and drawings with my client?
Yes, on Pro. Plans & Files holds the drawings, specs and permits, and each file has its own Share tick. Nothing reaches the client unless you tick it — a job's file store holds supplier quotes as often as it holds drawings.
How do I print a document for a client?
Open Client Documents, choose the document, and print. It comes off the printer as a letter-size sheet whatever you printed it from, including a phone. Print packet gives you the whole set as one file.
